Tree Service in Mesquite, TX
Tree removal, trimming, stump grinding & emergency storm cleanup in Mesquite, Texas: the historic downtown grid, the Town East and Big Town corridors, and the I-635 loop. Free estimates. Call (469) 545-0844.
Mesquite is one of the oldest cities in the Dallas metro. The Texas & Pacific Railroad arrived in 1873, and the town grew up around it. The rodeo later put Mesquite on the map: the Mesquite Championship Rodeo still runs at the Mesquite Arena off I-635. Today it is a full-size city wrapped around the LBJ loop, with US 80 and I-20 cutting east-west through it.
The tree work follows the city's age. The older neighborhoods around downtown and Main Street have big mature trees: live oaks and pecans that need crown cleaning and deadwood removal. Out east toward Town East Mall and Big Town Boulevard, the ground gets sandier and post oaks take over. The subdivisions off Galloway Avenue and Cartwright Road have builder trees that were never structurally pruned and need it now. Under most of it, the same black clay as the rest of North Texas.
We work Mesquite and the nearby corridor: the downtown grid, the Town East and Big Town corridors, the neighborhoods along US 80 toward Sunnyvale and Forney, and the I-635 loop. The estimate is free. The advice is straight.

Common Tree Issues in Mesquite, TX
🌳 Mature Trees in Older Neighborhoods
The downtown grid and the older streets hold the biggest trees in the area: live oaks and pecans planted decades ago. Crown cleaning, deadwood removal, and honest calls on which ones are worth saving.
🌱 Subdivision Structural Pruning
The subdivisions off Galloway and Cartwright have young trees with the same young-tree problems you see everywhere: competing leaders, tight crotches, low limbs over the driveway. Shaped early, they grow right. Left alone, they do not.
🌪️ Storm Damage on Open Corridors
I-635 and the open commercial corridors funnel wind straight through. When spring storms hit, we triage by hazard: trees off the house and driveway first, full cleanup after.

Mesquite Tree Service FAQs
Our live oak keeps dropping limbs on the driveway. Is it dying or just messy?
Could be either, which is why you look before you cut. Deadwood is normal on a big oak and comes out with crown cleaning. Cankers, fungal shelves, or a thinning crown tell a different story. We will tell you which one it is.
The builder planted two trees out front and one leans toward the street. Fixable?
Usually, if the tree is young. Restaking, root-ball correction, and structural pruning set it right. Do it now, not in three years when the trunk has set.
