Joshua sits on SH 174 in Johnson County, roughly halfway between Burleson and Cleburne. It started as a railroad and farming town and it is growing into a Fort Worth bedroom community. Joshua ISD serves the town, FM 1902 runs the eastern side through the ranch lots, and the Chisholm Trail Parkway just west of town has cut the drive into Fort Worth and pulled new rooftops in behind it.
