Aubrey is one of the fastest-changing towns in northern Denton County. FM 428 runs through it as Sherman Dr, east to west, and it has become one of the busiest growth corridors in the area, with the Denton County Outer Loop alignment tracking along it. What was ranch land five years ago is a subdivision now, and the pattern keeps repeating. But Aubrey still has its other half: horse properties, acreage, and established homes with mature cedar elms, post oaks, and pecans. The black clay under all of it is unforgiving, especially for trees that were planted wrong.

The tree work in Aubrey comes in two streams. The new subdivisions along the FM 428 corridor bring the standard builder-tree problems: trees planted too deep in clay, girdling roots from the nursery pot, shallow watering, Bradford pears that split before the house is ten years old. On the horse properties and acreage, it is the rural work: fence-row bois d'arc, dead pasture cedars, leaning trees over barns and fences, and clearing land back for use. Established homes in between need the mature-tree work: crown cleaning, deadwood, clearance over roofs.

We cover all of Aubrey: the FM 428 and US 377 corridors, the new subdivisions, the horse properties and acreage in every direction, and downtown. House lot or ten acres, the estimate is free and the advice is straight.

Common Tree Issues in Aubrey, TX

🏘️ Builder Trees on Black Clay

The new subdivisions along FM 428 sit on heavy black clay, and the builder trees are struggling with it: planted too deep, girdling roots, shallow watering. We diagnose the actual problem on-site, fix the ones that can be saved, and plant replacements at the right depth with room to grow.

🐴 Acreage & Horse Property Work

Aubrey's horse properties need a different kind of tree work: fence-line clearing, dead cedars and bois d'arc down, pasture trees leaning toward barns, stumps ground so the land is usable. If a truck and trailer can get to it, we can work it.

🌳 Mature Tree Care

The established parts of Aubrey have real canopy: cedar elms, post oaks, pecans. Deadwood removal, crown cleaning, structural pruning, clearance over roofs and fences. We do the work that keeps a mature tree safe for another decade instead of selling you a removal.

Aubrey Tree Service FAQs

Our new subdivision's trees are all struggling. Is it the builder's fault?

Usually it is the planting, not the tree. The pattern repeats everywhere in North Texas: trees planted too deep in clay, girdling roots never cut at planting, shallow watering. We check all three on-site and tell you which trees can be saved and which were never going to make it.

Do you clear fence lines and do work on acreage?

Yes. Fence-row clearing, dead and hazardous tree removal, trees near barns and outbuildings. Send photos with your estimate request so we can see what the access looks like.

How much does tree removal cost in Aubrey, TX?

It depends on the tree and the access. A front-yard ornamental is a different job than a big shade tree over a roof. Every job is different, so we give free on-site estimates: you get an exact price before any work starts, with no obligation.
