Bells is a railroad crossroads town in eastern Grayson County. Daniel Dugan settled here in 1835. When the railways arrived in the early 1870s, the town went by Dugansville, after the pioneer family. In 1879 it became Bells, named, by local tradition, for the church bells that rang to greet the arriving railroad. The town incorporated in 1881. Today it sits where US 69 meets SH 56, with the US 82 freeway running through the north side: thirteen miles northwest to Denison, seven south to Whitewright, twelve west to Sherman, fourteen east to Bonham. About 1,400 people live here.
The tree work here is small-town work. The grid streets carry big old yard trees: pecans, oaks, and elms planted a generation or two back. The farm roads east toward Bonham and west toward Sherman run fence rows thick with cedar and volunteer trees. The US 82 frontage lots get road noise and dust, so screening plantings come up a lot. Out past town it is cattle and hay ground, with pasture oaks and creek-bottom pecans. The soil is blackland clay, heavy and rich.
We work Bells from the crossroads to the county roads: deadwood cleanup and clearance on the old yard trees, selective cedar clearing on fence rows and acreage, storm cleanup when the weather crosses the open ground, and full removals with the stump ground and the property left clean. Free on-site estimates. Straight talk about what the tree needs and what it does not.

Bells Tree Service FAQs
Can trees on the US 82 frontage cut the road noise?
A thick buffer helps more than a thin row. We thin and lift the screening trees you have and tell you what to plant for a real windbreak. Free on-site estimate to look at the property.
The cedar has closed in our fence line. Can you clear just that?
Yes. That is selective clearing: the cedar and brush go; the oaks, pecans, and anything worth keeping stay. Free on-site estimate to scope it.
How much does tree removal cost in Bells, TX?
Every tree and every site is different, so we do not quote blind. Free on-site estimate: you get the exact price in writing, no obligation, before anything gets cut.
