Tree removal, trimming, stump grinding & emergency storm cleanup in Alvarado, Texas: the I-35W and US 67 junction, Alvarado Park Lake, and the farm roads. Free estimates. Call (469) 545-0844.
Alvarado sits in eastern Johnson County where US 67 meets I-35W, about 26 miles south of Fort Worth. The town was named for Alvarado, Veracruz, Mexico, where William Onstoott fought in the Mexican-American War. Just under 5,000 people live here as of the 2020 census, and the growth along the I-35W corridor is pushing that number up. Business 35W runs through town as North Parkway Drive, and the farm roads fan out toward Venus, Keene, Burleson, and Grandview.
The lake shapes the west side of town. Alvarado Park Lake is a county-owned reservoir on Turkey Creek, three miles southwest of the city off US 67, built in 1966 for flood control, water storage, and recreation. The shoreline lots and the lake park take weather straight off the water. The rest of town drains through the North Fork of Chambers Creek on its way to the Trinity watershed. The old farmsteads hold post oaks and pecans along the creek draws; the lots along I-35W are commercial and new construction; and the subdivisions filling the gaps are builder trees at the age when structure matters most.
We work Alvarado from the lake to the highway corridor: crown thinning and deadwood cleanup on the wind-exposed lots, hazard assessments on the old creek-draw oaks, structural pruning on the young subdivision trees, and full-service removals with the stump ground and the property left clean. If your lot backs to the lake or the creek, tell us up front so we plan the drop zone and equipment path around the water. Free on-site estimates. Straight talk about what the tree needs and what it does not.

Common Tree Issues in Alvarado, TX
Lake Wind & Storm Damage
Shoreline lots at Alvarado Park Lake catch weather straight off the water. Crown thinning so storms pass through, deadwood removal, and hazard-first cleanup after spring storms.
Old Farmstead Oaks & Pecans
The creek-draw post oaks and pecans on the old farm lots are big, old, and sometimes storm-battered. Deadwood cleanup, crown thinning, and honest calls on the giants.
New-Build Structural Pruning
The subdivisions filling in along the I-35W corridor are young trees at the decisive age. Structural pruning now, while it is cheap, keeps them out of the removal column later.

Alvarado Tree Service FAQs
Our lot is near Alvarado Park Lake and storms strip limbs every year. Normal?
Shoreline lots grow in wind, so weak wood shows up fast. Crown thinning and deadwood removal cut the breakage way down. Trees leaning toward the house or the water deserve an assessment before storm season.
Do you work the big farm lots, or just town yards?
Both. Acreage clearing, fence-row cedar work, and storm cleanup on the farm roads, plus the town yards. Selective, so the good trees stay and the brush goes.
How much does tree removal cost in Alvarado, TX?
Every tree and every site is different, so we do not quote blind. Free on-site estimate: you get the exact price in writing, no obligation, before anything gets cut.
